![]() If no elemental weapon, force pulse from the destruction staff tree has a fire component as well. Elemental weapon also gives you a 1/3 chance each use to proc burning as well, so you’re blockade of fire is usually going to have the burning damage buff going. Healers will typically be running lightning blockade for the off balance debuff, and the frost barricade doesn’t really do anything (bosses don’t really ever get immobilized, and tank will have it taunted anyway), leaving the fire blockade.Ī flame staff front bar with a flame enchant has several opportunities to proc burning for the extra damage on blockade, as does the blockade itself. Looking at blockade of elements, the fire blockade will deal an extra 20% damage if the enemy is burning, shock will set a concusses enemy off balance, and frost will immobilize chilled enemies. If we look at the typical setup, you’ll have elemental weapon on the front bar (which always procs a status effect, either burning, chilled, or concussed), and probably a flame enchant on a fire staff front bar. So they’ll both do the same damage off start (disregarding buffs to flame or shock damage), but as others have noted, it’s because of status affects from elsewhere. ![]() Rule violators will be warned and/or subsequently removed at the discretion of the moderation team.
